"John Noone's trip had been a long and tedious one because of bad weather and shortage of food.  He landed in Sacramento and went into Shasta County, where he engaged in placer mining.  When the spring of 1864, he left Florence with Michael Leary and John and Patrick Noone, arriving shortly thereafter in the Boise Baisin."
